Apprentice Regalia

In this section, we'll describe the casual, public, and formal Regalia as worn by the Grey School apprentice. The apprentice is a GSW Apprentice who is studying at Levels 1-7.

 

I. Casual Regalia

Description: School T-shirt or sweatshirt; or element-colored T-shirt or polo shirt Jeans, shorts, slacks, or skirt Prefect/Captain/Head insignia may be pinned to the left breast of the shirt.

Cape or School Cloak: May be worn if desired.

 

Scarf: May be worn in cold weather. Apprentices wear a scarf banded in their single solid Wizard color or the two blended colors of their House or Lodge affiliation (green/black for Earth, yellow/white for Air, red/black for Fire, and blue/white for Water). A GSW or House/Lodge patch may be sewn to one end of the scarf.

 

Cap: A watch-style cap in the wearer's Wizard or House/Lodge color may be worn when outdoors or in cold weather.

 

Pouch: May be worn if desired.

 

Insignia: As desired and indicated.

 

II. Public Regalia

Description: Solid black polo shirt Black (or dark grey) slacks, jeans, shorts, or skirt

A GSW, House, or Lodge patch may be sewn to the shirt's left breast. Prefect/Captain/Head insignia may be pinned to the left breast of the polo shirt, above the patch. One non-academic item, i.e., club patch, EDC patch, may be worn on the right breast. Cape or School Cloak: May be worn if desired.

 

Scarf: May be worn in cold weather. Apprentices wear a scarf banded in their single solid Wizard color or the two blended colors of their House or Lodge affiliation (green/black for Earth, yellow/white for Air, red/black for Fire, and blue/white for Water). A GSW or House/Lodge patch may be sewn to one end of the scarf.

 

Cap: A watch-style cap in the wearer's Wizard or House/Lodge color may be worn when outdoors or in cold weather.

 

Reticule: May be worn if desired.

 

Insignia: As desired and indicated.

III. Formal Regalia

Description: A combination of wizardly regalia, including (but not limited to) cingulum, cloak, robe, and tabard. The wearer may display the full Regalia or any parts of it, as desired or appropriate for the occasion.

 

Robe: White or off-white; style of choice. Slacks (black or white/off-white) and a tunic and/or jerkin (white/off-white) may be worn instead of the robe. A GSW, House, or Lodge patch may be worn on the left breast of robe or tunic.

 

Cingulum: Green.

Cloak: Dark charcoal grey; with or without School, House, or Lodge patch on left breast.

 

Tabard: An Apprentice wears a knee-length, open-front tabard in his Wizard (Major) color. A GSW, House, or Lodge patch may be worn on the left breast.

 

Stole: Upon reaching Level 2, Apprentices may wear the black academic stole.

 

Reticule: May be worn.

 

Cap: May be worn.

 

Insignia: As desired and indicated.
